On October 21, 2025, the MERIT movement once again made history inside the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The latest class of MERIT graduates completed the 120-hour Mentorship • Education • Rehabilitation • Integrated • Training program — a journey of self-development, brotherhood, and spiritual leadership.
Throughout six transformative weeks, these participants engaged deeply in theological study, mentorship principles, and character-building exercises designed to strengthen their minds and purify their intentions. As certified MERIT Muslim Coordinators, they now return to their respective units equipped to lead by example — serving as mentors, educators, and unifiers within their communities.
The ceremony was a moment of pride and reflection — a reminder that faith, structure, and sincerity can rebuild any life from within. Each graduate carries forward the mission and message of MERIT: that leadership begins with personal reform, and that true success is rooted in service.
Congratulations to the October 2025 MERIT Class.
